ACN Story:
ACN is an international telecommunications company in the direct selling industry. It was founded in 1993 by four entrepreneurs who saw the need to cheaper and better services in the telecommunications industry.
ACN provides its customers with services such as local and long distance calling, Internet, and mobile services. They also added leading edge technology services like digital phone service with video phones.
Launched in Michigan, U.S.A as part LCI International as a long distance agent, the company soon broke into the market and grew quite extensively. It was taken over by QWest Communications for $ 4.4 billion with ACN accounting for 1/3 or the overall LCI business.
ACN started to expand into the International market in 1997. The first country opened was Canada. Today the company operates in 19 markets worldwide having served millions of customers in the interim.
The company was founded based on solid ethics and with a vision to launch a direct selling company that would offer a fair compensation plan. The founders Mike Cupisz, Robert Stevanovski, Greg Provenzano and Tony Cupisz are still actively involved in the running of the company.
ACN is also endorsed by no other than Donald Trump as can be seen on their company website. The company is also involved into charity and has donated more than $ 1 million to various organizations worldwide.
ACN have probably helped to take away the monopoly of so many communication providers worldwide offering us an insight into the reality of the industry and that we don’t need to spend top dollars to call friends and family or using the Internet.
Despite this, the company has been involved in several court cases in the past. The company got accused of trading in a pyramid scheme by the Australian ACCC and misleading advertising practices in France. In the latter case they were found guilty. On 15 November 2004, Australian Communications Network Pty Ltd (the Australian branch of ACN inc.) was investigated by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) for alleged breaches of the Trade Practices Act 1974 in regards to provisions in the act relating to pyramid schemes. On 23 March 2005, ACN was found by Justice Selway to have participated in, promoted and induced or attempted to induce persons to take part in a pyramid selling scheme. A federal court appeal later reversed the earlier decision made by Justice Selway. The ruling indicated that the alleged "recruitment payments" did not fall under the definitions of the law. The ACCC was ordered to pay court costs.
On 19 March 2007, ACN France was found guilty and fined €15,000 for its use of misleading advertising. Inspectors created a simulation which found that only representatives with a position of "Team Coordinator" or higher (less than 1% of total qualified independent representatives) could potentially earn a satisfactory income (defined as €1345 per month). The position below "Team Coordination", "Executive Team Trainers" (less that 8% of total qualified independent representatives) could only earn a meager income or possibly lose money. Qualified independent represents consist of the representatives that have reached the level of "Team Trainer" or higher. —> end of snippet.
ACN Products:

From cheap costs word wide to capped all inclusive rates, ACN offers a few options for the home and mobile owner.
ACN offers all the above plans to home owners in applicable countries. Each one has their own advantage in terms of different options.
Where my circle home offers a combination of plans and capped plans, world 30 has very low calling rates for 30 countries worldwide. Value plan offers a combination of low monthly rates as well as discounted off peak national calls. Business premier is ideally suited for small businesses and their calling needs.
I did a comparison between my current telephone host. Where I pay the same amount on the monthly capped calls with my host than on a similar with ACN, the calling rates vary and in the end it would cost me about the same taking into account the length of calls and all. I do have to say, that I have great rates with my company and others might vary hugely from this.
Besides the telephony service ACN provides, they are currently in the process of offering an great Internet service to their customers. No further information is available regarding this and we just have to wait I guess until the service is official.
As per their current information on their website, ACN is trading in Australia, New Zealand, United States, Canada, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
ACN positions include the following: To qualify as a Team Trainer (TT) a ACN independent representative must have at least 8 Customer Points. (For TT qualification a maximum of 4 Customer Points can be from a representative’s own ACN services)
Executive Team Trainer (ETT): 2 directly sponsored and qualified Team Trainers
Executive Team Leader (ETL): 16 customer points and 2 ETT legs at any level
Team Coordinator (TC): 3 legs with 200 customer points
Regional Vice President (RVP):
- 3 Star = 1 TC in each of 3 separate legs on any level
- 4 Star = 1 TC in each of 4 separate legs at any level
Senior Vice President (SVP): 1 TC or RVP in each of 6 separate legs with a minimum of 3 RVP at any level
Further to this the company pays 5 different customer acquisition bonuses.
Commission is paid on several levels monthly, depending on personal customer points, or a combination of customer points and personally sponsored TTs.
