Alticor Dips Hands Into DVD Market

November 21, 2007 | By Monika Mundell | No Comments »

Alticor, which is widely known as the Amway parent company helped launch a brand new site today called Fanista.com as the lead investor. Fanista is selling CDs, DVDs and soon books using a familiar incentive system to those involved with the company already.

The system works on principles we already apply in the offline world. We refer people to our favorite music, movies and more and Fanista is taking this one step further into the realm of the Internet.

Currently Fanista is still in Beta.

Inside the admin panel you can create your own profile, write reviews, share your music, games, books and movies and there is also a store.

You can get paid a 5% referral bonus from your sign ups and get paid either via cash or store credits.

Alticor hopes to be able to leverage what they learn to help their distributors in the future.

Let’s just hope this doesn’t turn out to be a second Burnlounge.

I got an invite today to participate from one of my avid readers, but this really isn’t my cup of tea and I’m more confused by looking inside the admin than just reading about the site in general.

I guess this just shows my real age. Haha… anyway, I wish them all the best if their intentions are sound.

Monika
