Amway Embraces India

Amway is planning to market their brand aggressively in India and in neighboring markets over the next years. Since they have established themselves as being the largest direct selling company, they are setting their sights on making India an export hub.
Amway is already established to get this underway since they set up a huge manufacturing plant at Baddi in Himachal Pradesh. The plant is intended to serve as a base for export to Nepal, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
The projected growth of 4 times over the next 5 years is set to propel these intentions toward a positive result. Naturally this kind of action will also help to grow their portfolio within the country even further.
At present, Amway offers over 80 products in four categories – Personal care, Home care, Nutrition & Wellness and Cosmetics. Set to launch the color cosmetics range in December 2007, which includes lipsticks, nail colors, eye-liners, will help to expand its cosmetics category of products. Currently Amway only sells skin care products under the brand, ‘Attitude’.
The company’s aim is to become the one stop shop for all personal care, nutrition and wellness products in the country. Focus is on offering great choice and quality for consumers.
The recent TV commercials hosted by Amway received some good feedback and this has prompted Amway to expand their advertising campaigns into other media.
The company sets strong emphasis on helping to educate the masses by providing good quality health and household products.
With Amway’s recent purchase of a factory in Vietnam they are sure set to make a lasting impression in Asian regions.
