Are You A Slave to Your MLM?

October 27, 2007 | By Monika Mundell |

Sometimes during my time in MLM I met distributors that were totally brainwashed by the company. When they were up on stage speaking about their views on MLM and the business, it was like being in church at a sermon.

Now, I’m just not the church person and I really don’t like to be preached to about anything either. So naturally when these people kept on about "how wonderful everything MLM is" I tuned out to the extension of falling asleep.

It wasn’t a pretty sight either. Both me snoring away in my seat in the second row and the person trying to convince the "non believers" (the prospects attending) how MLM is the next best thing since sliced bread.

Don’t be a slave to your MLM.

Sure, you are with the company you are representing because something somewhere spoke to your heart. Maybe it was the stories you heard, the person you were dealing with or even a great product result you experienced.

image But whatever it is that brought you into the folds of your current MLM company, don’t forget that it isn’t the company that makes the success it is people! People like yourself coming from society that doesn’t know the difference between rate, greed and color.

So for the sake of all let’s stop preaching our MLM to the world.

Because if we preach, the world ain’t listening.

Don’t get me wrong here, I think it is essential that you believe in the products you are trying to market, but that should be it as far as devotion goes. Start to believe in yourself instead and learn to see that MLM is a people driven power that has nothing to do with the company itself.

Sure, they put up glamorous events, parties, competitions and all. But can you stop for a moment and see this for what it really is?…

…. I leave you with this thought.
