Are You Selling Your MLM?

August 22, 2007 | By Monika Mundell | No Comments »

Are you selling your MLM? I don’t sell, as a matter of fact I suck at selling. Because every time I try to sell- people run a mile. Yep, I always wondered why? Do I smell or am I that horrible? No, the reason being is that people hate to be sold to. Point!

No matter what your upline tells you; pick up the phone and call as many people as you can. Success lies in numbers, and blah blah blah. If you sell to your friends, family and everybody that touches the perimeter of your extended arms, then don’t be surprised if they all run. Success in MLM doesn’t depend on how good a sales person you are. It depends on how good a story teller and marketer you are.

There is a huge difference between the two you know. If you tell your story without selling and then point to your website, you will get more conversion than opposed to selling your business opportunity. Try it and get back to me on this.

Do you see the big corporations sell to you? No, Apple doesn’t sell you their iPod. They simply tell you about this great little machine that does this and that. And you…run to the next shop and buy it! Apple markets their iPod – they don’t sell. You do the selling buy buying the product because you sell yourself to the iPod.

Start telling your story and point to your website. How? Start your own blog as discussed here before. This way you can tell your story to as many people as you like without selling your MLM. Just don’t forget to point to your website. ;-)

I would be interested to know, what you feel about this subject? How did you start making sales in your MLM? Let us know as it could help others to see the relevancy between selling and marketing.
