Basic Lead Generation

Everybody is a prospect? If it is true then most MLMers won’t be struggling in their prospecting efforts. Its true that everybody is a suspect for your MLM program. They become your prospect when they show an interest about your MLM target="_blank" rel="nofollow" href="http://gobala.linktrackr.com/buildingonabudget-mlmrkeywords">MLM program or product. So how to get those prospects? There are many ways.

However the basic this, make your MLM program or product known to others and give them ways to contact you if there have an interest. This process is called lead generation.

A simple lead generation is:

1. You advertise in your local paper – don’t forget your contact number

2. Wait for your phone to ring.

Here is a campaign example, that was done by a colleague of mine in May/June last year. The ad was ran in one of the ad magazines in Kajang, Malaysia.

The Ad Magazine claimed to have  a circulation of 70,000. Which means that their magazine goes into 70,000 mailboxes.  The cost was RM 700.
Her ad was:

WORK FROM HOME: Part-time or Full-Time ; Low capital outlay; Income potential: RM500-RM2000/month Call Now! xxx-xxx-xxx

The results were as follow:

Calls receives were 60.

20 presentation was done 1-on-1

12 became retail customers.

1 refund

0 became distributor.

Gross profit per customer was RM 142.

Other expenses – phone and travel expenses -  was approximately RM 200.

So profit netted for that campaign was RM 662 [(RM 142 x 12) – (RM 700 + RM 200 + 142) ].

I know it  was not much, but it was a start :)
