Building An Effective MLM Blog - Part 1

August 14, 2007 | By admin |

This is an expansion from Monika Mundell’s previous post “Blogging Your MLM Business”. While that post talks about the technical aspects of creating an MLM blog, it this post let me throw out some ideas on how to turn that blog into a magnet for your MLM leads.

Imagine the day when people will be dying to join your MLM opportunity, and you have to turn down several people every day! That’s the end result you need to visualize.

Firstly, before you start an MLM blog make sure you’re serious about the MLM opportunity, and make sure that you’re willing to let others know every single detail of your MLM journey.

Secondly, keep an open mind. Your MLM opportunity is NOT the only way you’re going to make money from an MLM blog. You need to explore all streams of income, some of which may surpass anything you’ll earn in your MLM company for the first few months.

Here are a few other ways you can make money from an MLM blog:

  • Google Adsense or Yahoo Publisher Network
  • Selling text links or direct ads on your blog
  • Affiliate commissions from MLM training tools
  • Affiliate commissions from ebooks / books
  • Speaking engagements / paid reviews

Depending on how well you plan and execute your MLM blog, these additional sources of income may either be enough to cover your Internet costs (web hosting etc) or it may just turn into a full-fledged business of it’s own.

Well, let’s not think that far ahead - it’s enough for now to know what’s possible.

Lastly, before you build your MLM blog, be prepared to also SPEND some money on it. If you’re willing to buy the books and tapes and attend the seminars, you should also be prepared to pay a small investment to build an effective MLM blog.

The good news is, if you do this properly you’ll end up branding yourself ahead of your MLM company or product, and end up with a solid business that can go way beyond MLM itself.

Stay tuned for Part 2!
