Communication is The Key

Do you and your down line communicate often, or are you afraid of taking the lead because you fear you don’t know what to tell them? Most MLM target="_blank" rel="nofollow" href="http://gobala.linktrackr.com/attractionmarketing-mlmrkeywords">MLM’s these days have some sort of learning program available through their back office. This will allow anybody who joins the company to plug into their learning center. Funny enough, communication is a big drawback in many teams or shall I say the lack of it. Despite having a “learn as you earn” tutorial center in their admin section, many distributors fail to communicate with their down line effectively.
I’m really not sure, why this is. I suppose it does depend on the individual and their ability to lead. In the least you should aim to touch bases with your team at least once per month. Also following the 80/20 rule here helps. This could be possibly the biggest hang up of your business if you are concentrating on the wrong people. Don’t waste your time communicating with the “fly by’s). Concentrate on your strong team members and you’ll see an improved motivation amongst them.
One thing that always helped me was goal setting. My mentor always talked about goals and how we can step toward them. In retrospect, I realize that was a smart way for her to keep me going when I felt like dropping it all. Every month I stretched further and further. I used exactly the same format with my leaders and it worked well. It is important for them to know, that somebody actually believes into them and their ability to make it. By contacting them you show your ability to lead and they will willingly follow. (At least those that want to)

Arranging to talk with your team leaders once a month isn’t that hard, even if they live half way across the world. Use Skype or a phone card to do it cheaply. If you lead a bigger team, then there is free conference call software available.
Communicate often and you find that you are much more in touch with your team members and their ups and downs. It will allow you to help them better and be attuned to major changes.
Take care
Monika
