Could The High Prices of MLM Products Prevent Success?

You probably heard it a hundred times. From your upline, at regional meetings and international meetings. "Our products are great value and they give us so much more than XYZ from down the shop".
But do they really?
Isn’t it a fact that most MLM product prices are well overpriced making them virtually unaffordable for most people.
I don’t think this question is too far fetched. I actually found that most people I spoke to said they couldn’t afford the products.
So are our MLM companies setting us up for failure before we even get started? Alternative outlets are almost always offering cheaper alternatives than our related MLM company products. Since we get told to be our best customer we faithfully stock up and take the products religiously only to find 6 month later down the track that we spent thousands of dollars to buy these products for the apparent rush, only to find they now sit at home, unwanted by our so called hot market.

What happened then? Did you quit or eat all the stuff yourself? Did you flog it off at EBay, even though our companies don’t approve?
