Diffuse “Is This A Pyramid” Question

March 10, 2007 | By admin | No Comments »

You know when you are asked by your prospect, “Is this a pyramid?” You can reply with the defensive way of discussing about how every corporation is a pyramid etc. There is another way which Todd Falcone does these days that according to him simply DIFFUSES the question.

Here how it goes:

Prospect:  Is this a pyramid?

Me:  Absolutely not.  Why?  Is that what you are looking for?

Because…if it is, I can’t help you.

My response is direct and diffusing with no argumentative discussion taking place at all.  The prospect automatically relaxes and is now more in the position to listen to what you have to say with a clear and open mind.

I’m going to try this out and see what my response would be like.
