COPPELL, Texas–(BUSINESS WIRE)–
Mannatech, Incorporated (NASDAQ: MTEX), a leading developer and provider of dietary supplements and skin care solutions, today announced that J. Stanley Fredrick, lead director of its Board of Directors, has been elected by the Direct Selling Education Foundation (DSEF) to serve for one year as vice chairman of the DSEF Board of Directors and a member of the executive committee. Mr. Fredrick was also elected to serve a three-year term on the DSEF Board of Directors.
Additionally, Mannatech was one of three companies nominated for the Direct Selling Association’s (DSA) ‘Success Award’ for the company’s new Customer Care Attendance and Performance Policy. Since implementing the policy in 2007 to encourage call center staff to provide timely and quality service to Mannatech’s independent sales Associates, tardiness and absences have decreased and quality scores and customer service satisfaction have increased.
‘It has been an honor to be a part of this very effective public service organization for more than 25 years,’ said Mr. Fredrick, who also serves as chairman of DSEF’s development committee. ‘It has been a privilege to work with this foundation with some of the greatest and most respected names in the industry.’
As Vice Chairman of the DSEF, Mr. Fredrick will be working with Chairman Doris Christopher of The Pampered Chef and DSEF’s new Executive Director Joan Cassedy on annual funding and the foundation’s capital campaign.
Created in 1973 by the DSA, the DSEF serves the public interest by advancing the direct selling industry’s support of consumer rights and protection, education about the industry, ethical leadership, and individual economic empowerment.
