Helping People Will Make Your More Credible

A common complaint many network marketers have is that they find it hard to make sales without feeling like a pushy sales person. One thing my company always told me (and I’m sure you’ve heard this before) is that in effect we are all sales people.
While in some ways this is true, in others is not.
What defies a sales person anyway? Is it perhaps their ability to talk about anything to make you rip out your wallet in a frenzy, or is it the soft approach by helping others without expecting anything back in return?
You know what, it could be both. Either of these attributes will bring many sales. The first one however will bring more sales in the beginning, whereas the second one will take more time – but could well be the better version because of longevity.
See, when I walk into any shop to find myself "romanced" by a sales person I might be well impressed with what they have to offer while I’m in the right environment. Once I get home the whole scenario looks already more like "oh my god, what have I done to buy this?
Did I REALLY need to buy this anyway?
So from a positive situation I soon enough found more negatives to justify my wrong move in buying something too quickly. Once I left the environment I bought in, it didn’t feel right anymore!
If you read this last sentence again you will realize that exactly this is a huge problem for many network marketers.
If on the opposite I would have been getting tons of free information on a particular product up front I would have sold myself on the idea of owing it and eventually bought without pressure.
This, ladies and gentlemen is the key to a successful network marketing business. Like Jim Rohn says, "you have to become a good story teller".
