How Do You Promote Your MLM?

Doing business is all about promotion. This certainly applies to promoting your MLM too. After all, if people don’t know that you’re in business for yourself, you will struggle to find customers and distributors. So how does one promote its business in the ripe age of technology. Should we focus our attentions solely to the Internet, or should we combine our marketing efforts by utilizing off line advertising platforms too?

It really boils down to your finances. To advertise your MLM you need funds. Agreed there are ways to do this without, but these are very time consuming. So you have to ask yourself the following questions:

Do you want to spend money and save time in the process of looking for new customers/distributors or

Do you want to save money but invest a lot of your time in the same process?

Either way it is possible to grow your business. As long as you are aware of the individual pitfalls you can make a decision that works for you and your business I guess.

To engage your brain in the right direction I have listed some advertising platforms you could utilize for your MLM. Here they are.

Off line:

  • Newspapers
  • Flyers
  • Business cards/Flash cards
  • Message boards
  • Club news magazines
  • Your Business Folders in local surgeries, hair dressers, waiting rooms etc. (Ask for permission first!)
  • Car banners and magnets
  • Billboards (Very Expensive!)
  • Industry Magazines
  • Signage outside your house (check with your local council first)
  • Market Stalls
  • Party Plan Demonstrations
  • Telephone Directory

Online:

  • Blog
  • Website/Splash Page
  • Forums
  • Craigslist/Job boards
  • Safe Lists
  • Email
  • Squidoopromoting.jpg
  • Social Networking Platforms
  • Ezine Advertising
  • Article Marketing

These are mainly a few ideas in the big ocean of possibilities. I’m sure you might have your own tried and proven methods and if you do, then why not share it with us. My recommendations would be to combine the two advertising methods to guarantee you certain success without spending a lot of money in the process. Especially if you are new to MLM, you want to make sure not to spend too much on advertising up front. This is to prevent you from financial burn out. Once you create a regular income, then you can divert some of those funds to a funded advertising budget.

The secret to longevity in MLM lies in self funded. If that means you have to promote your MLM with the free methods to get started, then so be it.
