How to Get Traffic to Your MLM Blog

In the past I touched on how important it is for you to build your own blog for your MLM instead of using the mass produced website you are normally offered. The reason is simple. Because if you join pretty much any MLM, most of them have thousands if not millions of distributors. If all these use the business tools, that means thousand of you will compete online with the same website template.
This is simply a very bad idea, both for Google page position and traffic potential.
Not only will prospects get sick of seeing the same crappy websites, but they will also think that the market is saturated by seeing them everywhere and then – they run never to be seen again.
So lets assume that you did follow my advice and built your own blog where you write informative information regarding your MLM’s niche. Naturally without getting traffic to your blog, not much will happen in terms of business growth.
So first you need to make the commitment to build traffic to your blog. But how?
I have made a list with possible ways to get traffic to your MLM blog. Feel free to use a combination of some or one to get started.
Free Traffic Methods:
Free traffic methods are great and they work, the draw back is that they are very time consuming and you will have to make a decision early on, on whether you rather spend time or money to get traffic to your MLM blog.
- Comment on other Blogs
- Use Forums targeted to your MLM
- Use social networks such as FaceBook, MySpace, YouTube, etc.
- Use social blog networks MyBlogLog, Bumpzee, Blog Cataloge
- Bookmarking sites
- Write articles
- Write blog guest posts on high trafficked blogs
- Use free job advertising sites such as Craigslist, America Free Ads, etc.
- Participate in group writing projects
- Participate in blog carnival
- Give away something for free on your blog (use and opt in list)
- Ask other bloggers for link exchange
- Participate in competitions
- Blog about others in the industry
- Start your own forum
Paid Traffic Methods:
As you probably know, I’m all for using free methods first provided this doesn’t interfere with your time. If all else fails and you are prepared to invest money into some paid traffic generating methods, then these ones might be of interest.
- Online paid ads
- Newspaper ads
- Magazine ads (very expensive)
- Buying reviews from other bloggers (be careful to order them with “nofollow links” if you aim at higher Google PR)
- Pay a SEO company to help you (make sure to compare several before you make a choice)
- Buy a 125 x 125 ad from other bloggers
- Buy a text ad from other bloggers
There are many more traffic generating methods out there. What is important is that you get started using some of them on a regular basis. Building good traffic does take time and is not accomplished with a quick burst of action followed by nothingness.
Stay with it and you will see results.
