Is Abunza A Scam?

I have to admit that when I first came upon the Abunza mlm opportunity I was interested to hear more. While the business does sound rather tempting, I believe there are some potential signs that it is all a scam after all.

When I see an mlm company that uses digital downloads as their products for retail my alarm bells go off. To me that smells too much of cleverly disguised pyramid scheme that will eventually collapse once they get shut down by authorities.

However, giving Abunza the benefits of the doubt I dug deeper and found the following information:

Abunza Retail Sales

Will pay you 100% commission of every product you sell through your own Abanzu store. Your customers pay you directly with their credit cards and the whole process is automated to make it easy for anyone to run a store.

As an Abunza distributor you can choose to sell the products or give them away as you own total resale rights.

What I didn’t like are the products. Most of them are rehashed ebooks and courses that have been floating around on the Internet for some time. In fact, many of these are often thrown in if you buy on eBay, from Internet marketers or PLR products.

This fact made me very cautious in regards to the longevity of Abunza. In my eyes a decent company would offer unique products especially created for the opportunity itself. But maybe I’m just too strict.

Abunza Wholesale Sales

For each $1197 sale on either of the complete English and Spanish digital library you earn $947 on your first tier and $250 on every sale made by your first downline.

This is the priciest of entry points into the Abunza system. There are also cheaper levels of entry but these pay out less in commissions.

Since Abunza is still new (established in October 2007) there is much hype going around. It will be interesting to see whether they are still going strong in 5 years time?
