Mary Kay’s New Virtual Makeover
July 30, 2008 | By Monika Mundell |
Mary Kay offers a cool new tool on their website. It’s called a virtual makeover and allows women to play around with make-up colors, hairstyles and more. You can choose an existing model from the range provided, or else upload your own photo, then start getting creative.
The great thing about this tool is that it costs nothing, nadda..zip. I’ve seen similar tools before, selling for a lot of money. I think Mary Kay have hit on a home run with their virtual makeover tool because it is so neat to see how you look before you go to the hairdresser or use make up.
Here is what you can choose once the application has loaded:
- hairstyle
- make-up
- hair color
- highlights
- lowlights
- hair color
- lip liner
- eye color
- eyeliner
- mascara
- cheek color
- lip gloss
- and more
See the next screen shot for a detailed look at the designer window.
All you girrrrls out there who always wanted to play around with make-up, now is your chance. Plus, you don’t even have to be 18. Not that this matters anyway.
Now, to be honest I’ve never been a girl who digs make-up. I consider myself beautiful by nature so why cover up my face with artificial gunk?
But now I can actually have a play to see how I would look if I was to succumb to the beauty industry’s call. For me, it’s nothing more than a fun exercise since I won’t go down that road - ever.
But for you, it might be the start of something new and fun.
Enjoy. Check out the pics below.
