Massive HYIP Shutdown in Malaysia

Network marketing involves meeting with other people.

As you go through the numbers, you will meet people bordering on the dark side of networking – those dabbling with so called High Yield Investment Programs (HYIP). These HYIP groups normally temp you to join them in return for their support:

  • Placing their network as members under your downline.
  • Providing you with an easy solution to your MLM cash flow problem.
  • Offer network marketing junkies a convoluted blend of MLM target="_blank" rel="nofollow" href="http://gobala.linktrackr.com/attractionmarketing-mlmrkeywords">MLM ‘plans’ mixed together if you know what I mean.

Recently, there had been a huge shutdown of HYIP operations in Malaysia – with the majority of HYIP revenues denied entry into Malaysian soil. Apparently, some say that people are not allowed to ‘show the plan’ with laptops in public places anymore with the possible threat of jail sentence looming over their foreheads.

Sites were shut down.

Thousands of dollars disappeared almost overnight. Others flew to overseas to recover their ‘investments’ from their ‘uplines’. Lives were ruined. Friendships were lost and ‘careers’ had to be rebuilt.

If there is one thing we can learn from all this – remember: never join the dark side:

  • Don’t try to gain the friendship of money gamers – they will destroy your network.
  • Taking the easy way out rarely works.
  • Don’t try to ‘support’ your downlines by getting in to money games – don’t spoon feed them when they have cash flow problems. If they rely on you too much, they become weak downlines and will blame you when they lose their money.
  • Stick with your products – don’t become a money gamer.
