What Happens When Your Organization Folds?
February 23, 2008 | By Monika Mundell |
Have you ever been in a situation were your whole MLM business folds practically overnight? Yesterday you had a half way thriving organization and today they are gone!
Shock.Horror.Gasp.
So what do you do now?
You have two options
1.) You can either quit
2.) Or you can start again from scratch. This is really the nature of MLM and it happens more often than you think. Even at the top of the food chain you are never save, especially if you depend on recruiting to pay you a monthly check which in technical terms is close to a pyramid scheme.
A friend of mine recently got excited to see a brand new business opportunity. He signed up convinced that this time he is finally going to make money. He soon enough found out that there were others he knew from prior MLM companies and he was rather shocked to see them having made the switch, especially since they were doing so well in their old company.
So what happened?
A better opportunity that is!
One that would allow people to earn realistic money in a realistic time span without having to resort to aggressive recruiting methods to keep those checks coming. These people also saw the potential this new company offered them opposed to what they knew so far.
What happened?
Mass migration is what happened ultimately. All my friends former mates took most of their organization with them to move over to the new opportunity and those who enjoyed a stable income above them were suddenly left with nothing.
So what’s the moral of the story?
The moral is that you should never feel complacent in your MLM, despite a huge down line - unless you have a guaranteed income that pays you at least enough to cover your bills in case your organization folds.
