Network Your Way To Success

Networking really is the basis for all that we do in mlm. In fact it is our primary job in our business. MLM success is based on a solid foundation of good people. The best way of bringing new people into the fold is through a solid networking strategy. If you just hang a few flyers at the local grocery store you are not networking – you are advertising. That’s OK, and it is a part of the business but it is not networking.
How do we network?
When you think about networking always keep in mind the fundamental principle that it’s about connecting with people. For every networking idea you have, ask yourself if it is centered around people. If so then get to working your plan.
Networking suggestions:
- Always carry business cards with you. Always. A 5 minute trip to the corner grocery store can turn into a ripe networking opportunity if you run into the right person.
- Participate. Most communities have civic organizations that are rich with networking opportunities. Do not just sit at home trying to email your way to a good network.
- Pay attention to social media on the internet. Do you Twitter? You should. The opportunities to engage are tremendous if you are patient and follow the rules.
- Join MLM forums and discuss the issues of the day. Make sure you have a distinct signature that includes your website or email address.
- Have a networking goal: I will make business contact with ten different people this week.
These are just a few ideas to get you started. Ask your upline what kind of networking strategies have worked for them in the past. For that matter, ask your down line what methods they employ.
