It was just a few posts back, my colleague Khai talks about MLM target="_blank" rel="nofollow" href="http://gobala.linktrackr.com/buildingonabudget-mlmrkeywords">MLM based durian juice. Well, it has become a reality. At least for North America and Japan.
According to Neways International, they have launch their latest product called ‘Durian Fusion’:
SPRINGVILLE, Utah-January 24, 2007-Visiting Neways distributors from Japan were given a special treat today-the first look at Neways’ Durian Fusion. Durian Fusion, the first ever premium fruit-based liquid supplement made from durian, will hit the market this April.
“Fruit-based liquid supplements are all the rage,” says Neways CEO Eric Larsen. “Neways will be first to market a durian liquid supplement.”
Durian, a fruit native to Southeast Asia, is distinctive for its size, unique odor and thorn-covered husk. It has a long and varied history as a natural remedy in Southeast Asian folklore.
“We are the first to harness the power of the King of Fruits in a
liquid supplement,” says Scott Moberly, Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “We have spent three years developing a great-tasting product with out durian’s distinctive aroma, and we are very proud of the results.”
Neways’ Durian Fusion, made from durian whole-fruit puree and extract, along with a blend of exotic fruits including papaya, mango, lychee and longan, is the first ever premium liquid supplement made from durian, the King of Fruits. “This fruit-based formula provides you with all the wholesome goodness of durian in a delicious, exotic liquid supplement,” says Yoko Little, Senior Category Manager for Health and Wellness. “This product can energize your life.”
Durian Fusion contains the goodness of an exotic fruit blend whose fusion is brought to its fullest potential by people who care about you and your health. Nature creates it, science refines it, and Neways delivers it.
Neways will officially launch Durian Fusion in April 2007 at the Japan Neways Convention in Makuhari in front of more than 30,000 excited distributors.
Citing from http://www.hormonalhappiness.com/durianfusionishere.htm, the possible health benefits of durian:
According to David Wolf’s “Eating for Beauty”
“Durian contains high levels of tryptophan. This is an amino acid and a tryptamine (similar to serotonin, melatonin, and DMT). Researchers have discovered that tryptophan helps both anxious, depressed, repressed people, as well as insomniacs. Tryptophan works by raising serotonin levels in the brain. When serotonin levels increase, a euphoric feeling is felt as a free passage is cleared for nerve impulses to travel.
Durian is such a strong blood cleaner that eating a few durian a day can change the odor of urine (urine is filtered out of blood).
What gives durian its strongest beautifying characteristics is its high concentration of raw oleic fats (and vitamin E), sulphur compounds, and soft proteins. Durian actually contains one of the highest concentrations of protein of any fruit, making it an excellent muscle builder.” Organic sulfur compounds among other properties in durian are very cleansing for the body.
Durian provides “more concentrated healthful energy in food form than any other product the world affords” – to keep the body vigorous and tireless; the mind alert with faculties undimmed; the spirit youthful.
For a person like me who loves to eat durian, I knew that durian is nutritious but I did not know what exactly they were in terms of health benefit. Now thanks to this info, now I know. I will be buying some fresh durians after this
Just out of curiousity, why haven’t the locals of these exotic fruits (durian, mangosteen, longan etc) come up with marketing them via MLM first? Or is it we are only good at copy cat-ting?
