Newsletters – Are You Sending Them?

How do you communicate with your customers? Do you send them a monthly newsletter or a quick note letting them know that you are here for them? You might laugh, but I have been getting many great responses for sending newsletters to my customers. They loved it. I integrated spotlight features and also prizes and competitions.

I still remember that one month where I totally forgot to send my newsletter in the mail. I actually had customers calling me and asking for it. This has surely got to mean something and you might want to consider doing this yourself. I did it the old way via snail mail. usedstamps_small.jpg
A far better way would be to send them an email after they have approved to go onto your auto responder service. Admittedly they might be opened less than a traditional newsletter, but if you incorporate games and prizes your customers might just feel like reading your newsletter anyway.

Ok, you admit you see that they could be beneficial for your customers. It helps them to belong besides you getting your message across. But what should you write about? How about writing about company news and special product launches. If you keep your customers in touch with what is going on in your business, they will know that you care about them.

Sending out newsletters on a regular basis also helps to keep customer retention. You could even make it easy for them to order and offer a discount on an auto ship order package. Get creative and see what can happen with a bit of effort.
