Powerful Ways To Build Your MLM Team

December 11, 2008 | By Monika Mundell |

Remember back to your old college or high school days. Doesn’t it seem like you always had that one person who was there for you? If you were having a rough day or you just needed to chat things up they were your rock. When you think back you probably have warm fuzzies when you bring that person to mind.

So my question for you is simple: Are you there for your team? Consider your downline. When they think of you do they think of you as someone who is there? Maybe they consider you a higher up who is only thinking of the riches that will come from the backs of their underlings.

Success in this field is not just about the numbers, it’s about the people. If you take care of your people, if you’re “there” for them then the numbers will come. Interacting and engaging your community provides the motivation for folks to get out and really work the system. When people feel as if they are a valued member of a team then they want to produce results to help the team.

How to be there for your team?

The strategies for being there for your team are not complex or particularly difficult.

  • Engage – Spend the time it takes to make certain your team knows that you are paying attention to their efforts.
  • Lead – Your team members are looking to you for thoughtful suggestions on how they can be successful. Be a leader and show them the way.
  • Follow up – Keep track of team member’s efforts.
  • Praise – Constant kudos are the order of the day. Announce every little victory for every team member. Let them know how much their efforts are appreciated.
  • Be available – Your team should feel as if they can contact you at any time and do so with ease and without fear of repercussion.

Being there for your team is not especially complicated. It’s about your presence or at least your perceived presence in their business. Engage your community and you will have gone a long way towards being there.

Quick Question.

I just started a new Website for my new Network Marketing Health Product, Enlyten

As any new site, I need links in and out. My concern is when I am linking out, do I need to be concerned with folks who use rel=”nofollow”. And will that really help them to get credit for the out link, but does not delute pagerank?

Thanks,
Brian Fitzgerald
