Quixtar Sues MonaVie For False Claims!

Quixtar, sister company of Amway Corporation has launched a claim suit against the competition. The compliant indicates that MonaVie uses shoddy practices by making false claims about their product. Included in the claim are also some MonaVie distributors.
Part of the claim states that MonaVie hosted meetings where “doctors” falsely claimed that MonaVie’s products can cure cancer, improve vision, stop aging rapidly and eliminate pain. The complain itself contains transcripts of these meetings.
Apparently to further insult ton injustice, some MonaVie distributors have attempted to raid the Quixtar IBO (Independent Business Owner) organization using the same false claims.
It also looks like MonaVie’s founder was previously involved in a now defunct company marketing “superfood” derived from a sea plant. The FDA took action against unsubstantiated therapeutic claims and the company’s inventory was being destroyed under the watchful eyes of the FDA.
MonaVie’s main product contains the Acai berry which is also part of some of Quixtar’s product line.
It will be interesting to see whether this lawsuit will send some shock waves through the MLM community.
