Slowing Economy Pushes Direct Selling

It seems that the crumbling worldwide economy helps to push direct selling companies further up the ladder. With more and more women looking to earn some extra money to keep up with the dwindling household budget ,many look toward direct selling and MLM.
Helping to make ends meet is a number one priority for many families and companies such as Herbalife, Private Quarters, and U-design Jewelry all experienced a massive growth in their sales force.
One company even cites a 658 percent increase in sales consultants since the first quarter in 2007.
Also, a lot of people are getting laid of work and they have no choice but to seek other employment. This might be easier for a young person who stands at the beginning of their career, but for a person older than 50, this proves more difficult. It is that age group who now seeks new fortunes by engaging into direct selling, ready to take a second chance at financial happiness.
It is sad really. These folk have worked hard all their lives and many see their dreams fall put the window when disaster strikes. Thanks to MLM and direct selling, they have another option to keep going.
Others are choosing the industry because they are sick of the endless and tiring commute to work. Many have to travel 2-4 hours every day just to get to and from work. This is a huge portion out of any life and it is understandable why many tire of it.
