The MLM Fizzle Effect

If you have been in mlm for a while you already know the mlm target="_blank" rel="nofollow" href="http://gobala.linktrackr.com/attractionmarketing-mlmrkeywords">mlm fizzle effect, right? What you probably don’t know or fail to understand is why people keep fizzling – despite all your great efforts.

It is no mystery that people are flaky. In fact most people are. I’m sure you know plenty of people who keep talking about doing something, only to never even get started. We all do it. But some of us have more drive than others and that is key if you want to build a successful team in mlm.

The initial sign up period with any new team member can be described similar to a newly wed couple.

The honeymoon period

In the honeymoon period people are excited. They are usually blown away by all the hype, the success stories and the cool, fun people around them – or so they think. Soon enough they realize that this is just another business opportunity amongst millions, coming with its own flaws like most do.

Nothing is perfect, but the problem here is that people who seek answers to their financial situations expect wonders!

So when these wonders start to kick in in their own business they eventually give up. Why? Because they have no real drive, or else the business is not the right vehicle for them, or a spouse made their life hell for doing what they do, or they heard (you guessed it) too many no’s.

Dealing with negativity

The hardest part of any mlm is to deal with people’s negativity when you prospect to them. That is why you really only want a totally Internet driven business. It will safe you from many personal embarrassing encounters, keeping face from potential rejection.

Most people can’t deal well with rejection. Rejection was my single biggest personal nightmare when I was in mlm. I have since grown a much thicker skin and learned that prospects don’t reject me when they say no – but the opportunity instead.

You probably already know how much it sucks when yet another team member disappears into thin air, after you spent hours coaching the guy.

This is normal. People are scared, it could be a comment they pick up from a partner or friend, a resistance to mlm in general or any other reason unbeknownst to you.

Picking up the pieces

If your team fails (and it probably will) due to those reasons, please know that this happens to all of us at some stage in our business. The secret to your success is for you to pick up the pieces and continue as if nothing happened.

Monica

great post on the Fizzle Effect. I think it is hard for people to deal with this happening and knowing that it will happen is helpful.

I will visit your blog often for your great info!
