Use Productivity Management To Skyrocket Your Business

Everybody has the same 24hrs. Yet some succeed while others do not. Why? One factor maybe because those that succeeds have better productivity management.

From Greatness Held Hostage CD by Mike Litman through Michael Oliver:

In the early 1900s, Ivy Lee was a management expert who knew
Charles Schwab (at that time a major industrialist).

Lee offered Schwab an idea about how to manage his time
(productivity – DB) better. Put simply…

1. Every night before going to bed, set out the 6 most important
things to do the next day.
2. Make sure they are put in the order of most important first,
next most important second and so on.
3. The next day, tackle the items in the order listed.  Don’t
move on to an item until the previous one is finished.

Schwab put this idea into practice for 6 months.  The results
were extraordinary.  Schwab found the idea so valuable that he
paid Lee $25,000 (a fortune at the time and around $500,000 in
today’s terms).

Mary Kay Ash also used this simple tool and credited a large part
of her success to the extra productivity that resulted.
