What Business Are You Doing?

Earlier in my MLM career, I was overwhelmed with the personal development, the prospecting activities, the recruting activities, the retailing activities, the prospect, customer and distributor follow-up services teaching others to do the same, and didn’t quite grasp what the business was actually about?
But as years gone by, as my business understanding grew. I understand that all of the above mentioned activities were carried out because of 2 fundamental things that all businesses are doing. And that is, we are in the business of getting customers (product users) and keeping customers.
Lets group the activities as getting customers and keeping customers.
Getting customer activities: The prospecting activities, the retailing activities, the prospect follow-ups, the recruting activities (after all, we distributors are also product users), teaching others to do the same (expansion of your network, the bottomline result is getting more product users).
Keeping customer activities: The customer and distributor follow-up services , teaching others to do the same.
Because you meet (or will meet) and work with, a lot of different people of different personalities with different temperaments under different circumtances and situations,
you’ll grow as a person – that is part of your personal development.
When you are successful at getting customers and keeping customers then you’ll achieve what the MLM industry promise – financial and time freedom.
