When You Take The Networking Out of Marketing
November 10, 2007 | By Monika Mundell | No Comments »
Network marketing is a combination of networking and marketing. In the old days (and unfortunately even these days) network marketers used to do this by word of mouth. A common expression often used by MLMers is
Must
Leave
Mouth
This might have been true in the 80′s. But to be honest in the modern world it isn’t working like this anymore, unless of course you are the kind of person who never shuts up.
MLMers have moved on to greener pastors, at least those who finally got it. This means, they have discovered the Internet. Welcome to the new revolution.
Despite this new found awareness many seem to forget an important aspect of their MLM business.
They forget to network!
No, I don’t mean networking with other distributors at local or international events, even though this is beneficial for business. But in this regard it is networking with potential customers, distributors.
You can do this online you know. With all the social networking sites popping up left right and center it is very easy to start networking and making new contacts.
Focus on business people; focus on those who are already looking for what you have. Forums are another great way to find these people and allow you to establish yourself as the specialist.
Whatever it is you are doing, don’t forget to take the networking out of marketing your business.
