Xango In Malaysia

February 13, 2007 | By admin | No Comments »

Shopping in the ‘Pasar Tani’ (Farm Market) yesterday, mangosteen fruits were sold at almost every fruit stall. I then recalled a  cell-phone text-message I received from a friend about Xango – the company that sells Mangosteen Juice. My friend tells me that Xango will be operating in Malaysia soon – earlier this year.

I see  immediately a challenge that Xango distributors will face with the local Malaysian public consumers:

Persuading the locals to buy the mangosteen juice at somewhat ‘pricey’ cost. (To the locals – anything above RM 50 (approx. USD 14.30) is considered pricey) since mangosteen fruits are sold at a bargain price at the farm market – RM 4 (USD1.15) per kilogram.

But I  believe the most effective method is to get a few good positive ltestimonials from the local consumers, then it would be easier to market the juice.
